CAT
ICHI was foaled in 2000, the year that Fusaichi Pegasus
won the Kentucky Derby. In reading the press articles on
the Kentucky Derby it was interesting to read about the
Derby Winner's owner, Fusao Sekiguchi. Sekiguchi is a flamboyant
Japanese businessman from Tokyo with a love of Ferraris,
Bugattis, horses, and golf and living in Tokyo. His horses
all have names that begin with Fusaichi (fu-sah-eechee),
taken from his own first name and adding "ichi," which
means Number One.
